April 18, 2012 — RT News line: The Swiss government has extended sanctions against Iran by freezing the assets of 11 more companies and people. The move concerns eight companies and three individuals. It brings Switzerland largely “in line with the restrictive measures” the EU adopted in January, AP quoted representatives of the cabinet as saying. The Swiss government has previously frozen Iranian accounts because of UN sanctions. Officials say the decision will be taken later whether to ban imports of Iranian oil.
